Kumari Garden

I've been in love with this fabric for a long time. I finally bought some and made a car seat blanket with the butterflies version from the Kumari Garden line. So darling! Visit The Butterfly Net to purchase it today!

Well, Hello There, Cupcake!

I've been timid about buying "food-y" themed fabric for car seat blankets, but with fabric this bold and colorful, I had to give it a shot. It's from Blank Quilting. Their line "Bake Shop" is delectable! Visit The Butterfly Net to purchase a car seat blanket today!

Flowers for the Giraffes

I went into work the other day to find about five new lines of fabric. What?! Of course I had to make some new car seat blankets (canopies) for the shop. Take a look around and have fun.

The Warmest Canopy. Ever.

I found this flannel and had to buy it. With minky, of course. The result is seriously the warmest car seat blanket you can buy. Buy it in our shop!

Gray is the New Black

Who knew that gray would come back into style - and with a vengeance? Remember when people used to paint their houses gray and white in the early 1990's? We're doing it again. And I'm buying as much gray material as possible apparently. I made these three canopies for our shop and then realized they're all gray. Plus, there's one more I made for the display/sample for the darling quilt shop I work at. You see, they're kind enough to carry our patterns (which you can also buy in our shop), and they fly off the shelves if there's a sample of the perfect design sitting next to the patterns.

Secretly, this canopy makes me want to go back to Hawaii and golf at Kapalua Bay. Anyone else?
p.s. No snickering about my nasty grass. It's January 4th here in Utah, and there's no snow. Totally gross.

Feeling Black & White

I bought this fabric the same day I bought six other black and white pieces.  Something about winter makes me love black and white.  I also love the contrast of it on a car seat blanket.  So classy and graphic.

A Very Riley Blake Christmas

Yes, I actually cuddled up with this fabric before I made my kids' pillow cases out of it. There's something so festive about Christmas flannel! I hope someone is as festive as I am and buys this for their little baby bean's car seat. So cozy! Oh, and there's two to choose from. Enjoy!

Lime Green and Lavender

I can't get enough of these colors. I'm on a binge. I loved this fabric at Material Girls the other day, and just had to buy it and make this with it. Go buy it in our shop!
Why does this one remind me of a Dr. Seuss flower? Anyone else?

Restoration

This fabric SPEAKS to me!  I'm almost finished making a table topper with it, too.  The colors are season-less and fantastic.  I'm not going to put it in the shop until after our boutique next Saturday.
If you're in the Utah County area, please visit The Quilting Cottage at 35 S. 100 E. in American Fork on Saturday, October 15th.

We'll have little girl skirts, car seat canopies, quilts, and everything else we've been working on for the last several months.  If you love something you've seen in the shop, better get it now if you can't make it to the boutique.

Helicopters

My three-year-old son is fascinated with "heh-coters." He was very sad when he saw this fabric and it wasn't for him. Someone please buy this so I don't have to keep explaining to him why he can't have it. Buy it now!

Pirates Again?!

Yes, the last car seat blanket with pirates on it sold in less than 24 hours. Get this one before I'm sick of doing pirate ones and stop doing them. Shop The Butterfly Net

Alphabet Zoo and Sari Blooms

I got the name of the Riley Blake fabric I used wrong when I put this in the shop.  I'm not going to change it, though, because it's Alphabet Soup Girl and I don't think this is "girl" fabric.  Ha!  I'm in charge. :)

Amy Butler's new-ish fabric, Soul Blossoms, is kind of a mystery to me.  I love some of it and I feel nothing about some of it.  These two fabrics are some that I love, but didn't know what to do with.  Cutting it too much (for a quilt) seemed sacrilegious to me, so a car seat blanket is perfect.

Ahoy Thar Matey! Pirates Car Seat Canopy

I had to buy Riley Blake's new Pirates line and make a car seat blanket/canopy from it. It turned out darling!

Now, someone has to have this, so go to The Butterfly Net's Shop and buy it!

Sock Monkeys!

I think Nicole and I are going bananas with our SIX kids this week. We both made car seat canopies with monkeys this week. (How did that happen, by the way? Six kids?! Remember when we thought we'd never have children?)

Eek! I love that I positioned the monkey right in the middle of the handle. It makes it appear as though the monkey is riding the handle. Bahaha!
