Painted Mums

Who doesn't love Heather Bailey fabric!  This big print is perfect for a girly car seat cover.  And the minky is soft and light - it won't be too heavy on the car seat.

A Love for Verona

Riley Blake Verona arrived in The Quilting Cottage about a month ago, and every time I go into work (ok, fine, play) I buy more of it. They are perfect for car seat blankets. Riley Blake, you have done it again! Visit our web site, The Butterfly Net to view or purchase these blankets.

Catching Up

I'm not a slacker!  I'm doing the work!  (I'm quoting "What About Bob?"  Just so no one thinks I'm actually crazy.)  I just noticed the thread in the top left corner of this photo.  Woops!  Love this fabric - it's called "Flea Market Fancy" and it really is.  Fancy, without actually being from the flea market.
There is lime green minky on the inside of this one.  And cute owls on the outside.
Another minky one!  This is for a sophisticated baby girl, I think.

Chevrons on the Side

What?! I cut the fabric sideways! Bah. I'm so bugged. Secretly, it doesn't bother  me too much to have the Chevron rows going vertically. What do you think?

Half Moon Modern

Loved this whole line. I've done FOUR car seat blankets from this line. Here are two of them. Ripe for the picking in our Etsy shop, The Butterfly Net.

Happy Friday the 13th!

I thought today would be a good day to not go anywhere for fear of something terrible happening to me. In stead, I finished up FOUR car seat blankets. That's right. FOUR. Enjoy!
Sarah Jane's line of fabric kills me. LOVE her style so very much. Keep it coming, Sarah Jane!

There was a lady who came into The Quilting Cottage the other day and was making a Little Man Tie Quilt out of this same fabric. I'm dying to see how it turned out. So fun!

Surfer Baby

My cousin, Amy, moved to Kauai, Hawaii a couple years ago. She asked me to make a surfer themed car seat blanket for her good friend there. What do you think, surf-y enough? I'm in love!

Navy Jacks

This line of fabric is called Reunion. (Don't worry, I don't get it, either.) Nonetheless, I love it, and it's perfect for little boys! Add some rich red minky dot on the back, and you have the perfect combination to keep your little man snuggl-y and warm.

Alphabet Soup

We did a similar car seat blanket in the white version a while ago, and I found the blue background at work the other day and had to pick some up to make another car seat blanket.

Kumari Garden

I've been in love with this fabric for a long time. I finally bought some and made a car seat blanket with the butterflies version from the Kumari Garden line. So darling! Visit The Butterfly Net to purchase it today!

Well, Hello There, Cupcake!

I've been timid about buying "food-y" themed fabric for car seat blankets, but with fabric this bold and colorful, I had to give it a shot. It's from Blank Quilting. Their line "Bake Shop" is delectable! Visit The Butterfly Net to purchase a car seat blanket today!

Flowers for the Giraffes

I went into work the other day to find about five new lines of fabric. What?! Of course I had to make some new car seat blankets (canopies) for the shop. Take a look around and have fun.

I found this flannel and had to buy it. With minky, of course. The result is seriously the warmest car seat blanket you can buy. Buy it in our shop!
