Painted Mums
Who doesn't love Heather Bailey fabric! This big print is perfect for a girly car seat cover. And the minky is soft and light - it won't be too heavy on the car seat.

Catching Up
I'm not a slacker! I'm doing the work! (I'm quoting "What About Bob?" Just so no one thinks I'm actually crazy.) I just noticed the thread in the top left corner of this photo. Woops! Love this fabric - it's called "Flea Market Fancy" and it really is. Fancy, without actually being from the flea market.
There is lime green minky on the inside of this one. And cute owls on the outside.
Another minky one! This is for a sophisticated baby girl, I think.

Sara's Baby Girl
Sara ordered a baby pink dottie swaddle blanket from our etsy shop and wanted a car seat blanket that would "go" with it. She chose chocolate brown Moda dottie fabric and ivory minky with the baby pink Moda dottie fabric on the handles. (I had to make a tiny quilt with batting for the handles because the brown dottie was so dark that it was showing through the pink dottie.) That minky fabric really is irresistible, isn't it?

Christine's Baby Girl
I made this one with one of my favorite fabrics - Amy Butler Dandelion Fields in "mist." I decided to try doing a reversible blanket and I put another Amy Butler fabric, Daisy Bouquet, on the back. I would so keep this one if I had a reason to. It's feminine without being over-the-top - exactly what I would want. Hope you enjoy it, Christine!

Vintage Raggedy Ann
I learned an important lesson making this car seat blanket: Never use stretch denim. For any reason. The inside of this one started out being stretch denim. I'd walk away from sewing, come back and the denim was bigger or smaller or foldy or something weird. Booo. The red with cream polka dots looks better anyway. (I used a little of the denim on the handles because I ran out of polka dots.)
I think this Raggedy Ann fabric is so sweet, but I don't really know anyone who "fits" it. I ended up using it for my friend, Angie's, new niece. They live in the Midwest. That works, right? :)

Toile for Katy
The minky on this car seat blanket is even thicker and more slippery than regular minky, but the end result is so satisfying that I don't mind. I hope this is girly enough...
(Only close-ups for this one because I didn't notice how messy the room behind the car seat was until I brought the picture up on the computer. Sorry.)

Green with Pink Paisley
A friend of mine asked me to make her a car seat drape for her baby girl and I was so excited to make a girlie one that I had it done quickly. So quickly that I was almost embarrassed to call and tell her I was bringing it over. (There isn't a baby in the car seat pictured - no need to worry about the frost on the grass...)
