Butterflies!

It took someone pointing it out to me, but I realized we had very few girl car seat blankets in our shop until this morning.  How'd that happen?!  I always feel like I need to suppress the urge to buy girl stuff...

I used the same dot on both of these reversible car seat blankets.  I thought all these colors are a great match to a lot of the Graco car seat color schemes that are out right now.  Matching!

Pretty One, Tough One

I've always loved the navy and yellow combo.  These over-sized daisies are my favorite thing ever!

I thought these "scary" little lions and tigers were the cutest tough guys I'd seen in a while:

We have so much new and adorable stuff in the shop, you have to go look.  Right now.  Seriously - we're having free shipping for Mother's Day!

Dots and Damask - Minky Versions

Perfect for these Spring babies! Cozy and dark. Plus, our elastic keeps the blanket in place better in these windy months of Spring.

We are clearly in love with Michael Miller and Riley Blake, no? Here are three more car seat blankets (car seat canopies) I finished this week. Please visit our shop The Butterfly Net to see more pictures or to purchase these beauties!

S'mores and Minky

What's more comforting than thinking of S'mores? Maybe S'mores with minky on the inside of a car seat blanket. Mmm . . . love this line from Moda. So sweet. Literally.

Alphabet Soup!

Not really, we don't sell soup here, but I found more of that line of fabric with the alphabet on it.  I love the idea of an older sibling learning their letters on baby brother/sister's car seat cover.  Ha!  This one is reversible and I'm pretty sure it will match any car seat you put it over.

Check out our shop for more pictures and to buy!

Here's What We Do

Here are some of our boy car seat covers.  Can you tell I just figured out how to make collages?  Good times.

I guess the black and white one is debatable, but the rest are some of our girl car seat covers.

Check out our etsy shop and order one today!

The Winner!

Congratulations to Nancy Berglund!  We went to our handy random number generator and it chose Nancy out of the pack.  What a coincidence that we love Nancy!  (Don't be alarmed by that.  We love all our customers.  We just love Nancy the most.  Ha!)

Here is what Nancy won:

A fabulous lap quilt!  The fabrics are Moda's Primrose Inn.

It's so feminine and pink that none of the men in your life would dare try to steal it.

Here's why they would try stealing it - the other side is minky.  It's delicious.  I almost "randomly" pulled my name out of the hat and kept it for myself.
Nancy also gets to choose one of Kristi's adorable note card sets.  Remember those?

Thanks again to all the people who have been helping to support our fabric habit!

Two More Custom Orders

My friend Shari ordered two more custom car seat blankets from me this week. I finished them in record time (impending my own laziness with just weeks left before delivery of baby #3). Here are the finished products - a Whinnie the Pooh with yellow minky and a t-shirt fabric with frogs and red minky. Thanks for the opportunity to help your friends and family cover their babies and keep them warm and germ-free!

More Plain Jane Love

I love this fabric line from Michael Miller! Doesn't it look happy to see you? I finished this so early this morning that I had to wait for the sun to come up to take pictures. I'm a productive insomniac. :)

I can't believe I forgot to post this one. I finished it last week. Loving the road map. What says "BOY" more than a track of any kind?

Don't forget about our AMAZING give-away!

Two Custom Boy Car Seat Blankets

I love doing custom car seat blankets. It's so fun to choose fabric in behalf of someone knowing what their style is. Eek! Here are the two custom car seat blankets I did this week. Two boys coming late spring and early summer. Enjoy!

Customer Appreciation Give-Away!

My computer has been down or I would have done this two days ago. Sorry!

Here is the deal, we're coming up on the 100th sale in our etsy shop and we decided it was as good a reason as any to have a give-away. If you've ever bought something from us (in the shop or in person), you're entered! Each purchase is one entry. We'll also be counting everyone who purchases something (anything!) by February 28th. Thank you for supporting us!

Since most of our customers already have a car seat blanket and they probably aren't in need of one themselves, we're giving away a minky quilt big enough for Mom:
The top is Moda's Old Primrose Inn and the back is ivory paisley minky. It's being quilted at the long arm quilters right now, or I'd tell you exactly how big it is. (Something like 50"x60".)

The winner also gets a set of family stationary of their choice - 15 flat cards with envelopes or 10 folded cards with envelopes. Here are a few samples:

Good luck to all our favorite people! :)

The winner will be announced (after a random drawing) on Monday, March 1st.

Lindsey's Baby Boy

This Car Seat Blanket is a gift for my friend Lindsey. She and I have known each other for almost ten years. A couple of weeks ago we got to waddle around Material Girls together and we both chose fabric for our boys' Car Seat Blankets. Her baby boy is due in just a few short weeks, and I'm so excited for her! Congratulations, Lindsey! Enjoy!

Wheelies, Plain Jane, and BIG NEWS

I wasn't even going to buy fabric yesterday, but two things were so irresistible that I not only bought fabric yesterday, I made two car seat covers this morning! Love feeling inspired.

First, Riley Blake's new Wheelies line in flannel - very soft and one of my favorite boy colors, orange:
The other is Michael Miller's Plain Jane fabric in black, red, and white. My sister, Katy, should probably not see this because she'll want to have another baby tomorrow. It's so her! Maybe it's also "so someone you know"? Go to our shop to view more photos. It really is so so cute. (I also got the hot pink version of this fabric.)

We have some really big news. We're celebrating our 100th sale by having a give away of epic proportions for everyone who has ever bought a car seat blanket from us. At the end of the week we'll post photos and of the beautiful stuff we're giving away plus how you can still be entered!

Hoot Hoot!

Owls are cute. And gender neutral. Hot pink is not so gender neutral. I love the colors in this one - very happy.
